Earlier, the K3 students visited the Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen, where they saw many different plants and small insects. The children used natural materials, such as small stones, leaves and twigs, to make eco-friendly shakers. They also used their rich imaginations to arrange leaves into beautiful patterns creating a leaf collage. Finally, the children tapped coleus leaves with small wooden blocks to explore how to transfer the leaves’ unique colours and patterns onto canvas. The children learned a lot of interesting plant facts and how to care for nature. It was truly eye-opening!
